VMI, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, announces the addition of the Sony SRW series and PDW-F800 camera to its lineup of Sony professional products.

The popularity of the PDW-F800 with production professionals and the need for high quality affordable HD options together made this the next logical step for growing VMI, Inc.'s high-definition products lines. VMI, Inc.'s customers have been purchasing high-definition video products for years and the addition of the PDW-F800 camera and SRW series complements the existing HD lines by adding higher-end HD cameras and decks. These products supplement VMI, Inc.'s extensive SD and HD line of broadcast and professional communication and workflow distribution solutions.

Along with expanding product lines and enhanced customer solutions, Bob Lofland has joined the VMI, Inc. sales team in Sunnyvale, CA. Most recently from Sony, Bob comes to us with over 20 years experience supporting product sales, service and application engineering efforts for the broadcast, production, and professional products markets.

To ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction, t he VMI, Inc. sales team is undergoing high-tech hands-on training on the F800 and SRW series from Sony Sales Engineers. This starts with technology knowledge and is complemented by additional hands-on time and years of industry experience. Customers further benefit from their local sales staff's application expertise that comes from knowing local market trends. In addition, customers have a single local source for product service and support.

January 14, 2009, VMI, Inc. will be introducing itself to the San Francisco Bay Area as the local source for the F800 and SRW series at the Hyatt at the Embarcadero from 1:00PM to 8:00PM. This introductory event will feature seminars on professional monitors, the F800 & SRW series, and more.
