Sony's SRW5500, SRW5800 or SRW5800/1 trade-in rebate program will allow you to dispose of qualified analog and digital video tape players/recorders (VTR's) while upgrading to the latest HDCAM-SR VTR technology.

Anyone that purchases an SRW5500, SRW5800 or SRW5800/1 between the dates of September 1, 2009 and March 31, 2010 can trade-in a qualified VTR for a mail-in cash rebate.

$10,000 rebate when you trade-in a qualified VTR for and purchase a SRW5800 or SRW-5800/1

To receive the mail-in rebate: You must purchase a SRW5500, SRW5800 or SRW5800/1 during the promotion period from a Sony Authorized Reseller or directly from Sony.

To receive the rebate by mail: 1. You must fill out online rebate claim form here. 2. You must send completed form, entire ORIGINAL UPC product code label(s) from the box(es) of the SRW5500, SRW5800 or SRW5800/1, and copy(ies) of purchase invoice(s) from the Sony Authorized Reseller or directly from Sony to Sony Award Headquarters at the below address, postmarked no later than December 31, 2009. 3. You must return a qualified trade-in VTR to the below address along with the required paperwork no later than April 30, 2010
