Sony SRW5100/1 HD Digital Videocasset Player

The SRW-5100/1 added 3G-SDI interface (SMPTE 425M level B) to SRW-5100 to provide the users with transfer of 4:2:2 1080/60P or 4:4:4 1080/24P materials via single SDI connection rather than dual-link HD-SDI interface. 3G-SDI and 1.5G SDI can be selected separately for HD-SDI output, monitor output and format converter output by setup menu. With HKSR-5001/20 formatconverter option card, the SRW-5100/1 provides 1080 50/59.94P from/to 720 50/59.94P conversion, 1080 23.98PsF to 1080 59.94P conversion with 3-2 Pull-Down as well. The SRW-5100/1, HDCAM-SR player inherits the playback capabilities of the SRW-5800. This product offers users a top-quality, yet more affordable player for applications such as viewing, screening, dubbing, and ingestion. This deck can play back HDCAM-SR formats including recordings in 1080 50/60i, 1080 24/25/30PsF and 720 50/60P. Versatile format conversions such as 1080i from/to 720P and 2-3 pull down are available with HKSR-5001 option. With optional HKSR-5103 board, the deck can play back all 880Mbps mode, such as 4:4:4 HQ, 1080 50/60P and dual stream materials (3D) as well. 880Mbps mode also offers high-speed material transfer. The SRW-5100 allows 4:2:2 materials to be transferred to servers and nonlinear editing systems at twice the normal speed using a standard dual-link HD-SDI interface. HDCAM and Digital BETACAM format tapes can be played back with optional HKSR-5802 board. In addition to this, with HKSR-5105 option, it has an HDV 1080i MPEG-2 TS output which makes it possible to create HDV editorial copy of HDCAM-SR and HDCAM format materials.
