Sony's New EVI-HD7V and EVI-HD3V - High Def Color PTZ Cameras

Sony, the industry leading pan/tilt/zoom camera manufacturer, is expanding its high-definition P/T/Z line up with the introduction of two new HD robotic cameras. The new EVI-HD7V (1080p/60) and EVIHD3V (720p/60) PTZ cameras combine a high-quality CMOS image sensor boasting two million effective pixels and can be used in combination with any number of codecs and systems to produce highquality, high-resolution images.

Sony’s EVI HD Series offers a choice of formats ranging from standard definition, 720p, 1080i to 1080p. HD camera options include:

  • The popular EVI-HD1 which allows for standard definition and 1080i video formats
  • The new high-end EVI-HD7V that provides full high definition 1080p video images
  • The new EVI-HD3V is a low cost HD option equipped with 720p video format

The EVI HD7V and EVI-HD3V HD cameras are equipped with DVI-I output with Y/Cb/Cr, Y/Pb/Pr, or RGB selectable. In addition, all camera settings and pan/tilt/zoom functions can be performed remotely at high communication speeds via the RS-232C interface (VISCA™ protocol). These cameras are ideally suited for videoconferencing and small sized rooms (courtrooms/boardrooms, distance learning classrooms).

These cameras also inherit many outstanding features from the EVI-HD1 camera, including smooth, highspeed pan/tilt operation, 6 position presets, 16x9 aspect ratio images and a built-in 10x optical zoom/wide angle lens.
